EXPERIENCE COMMUNITY AT ORBC
Oak Ridge Baptist Church desires that every member be active in ministry with their God-given spiritual gifts. A beautiful fellowship emerges that is declaring Christ in the community and developing believers in the Church. Ministry in the church takes on many different looks. Over 80% of church members are involved in at least one ministry!

sunday school

At Oak Ridge Baptist Church, we offer age-specific classes and groups for every stage of life, creating opportunities for people of all ages to grow in their faith and connect with others. During the Sunday School hour, these groups gather for Bible-centered teaching designed to encourage spiritual growth and meaningful application of God’s Word to everyday life.

More than simply attending a class together, these groups become communities where friendships are built, encouragement is shared, and people walk through life together.

Children's Ministries

At Oak Ridge Baptist Church, we love investing in children and families. Our desire is to help every child grow in their understanding of God’s Word while experiencing genuine care, encouragement, and community.

Through ministries like Vacation Bible School, Kids Club, and our ORCHARD outreach ministry, we strive to create meaningful opportunities for children both within our church and throughout the community. Whether through exciting events, weekly programs, or community outreach, each ministry is designed to point children to Christ in a fun, safe, and welcoming environment where they can learn, grow, and feel loved.

Growing acorns - parent's day out

Growing Acorns Parent’s Day Out is a safe, nurturing, Christ-centered program for children ages 12 months through 5 years old. It is designed for children who are not yet in kindergarten. Our Parents Day Out in Oak Ridge gives children a loving place to play, learn, build friendships, and grow. At the same time, parents have time to work, rest, run errands, or catch their breath.
Located at Oak Ridge Baptist Church, we operate Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Each day includes a thoughtful mix of play, learning, Bible time, lunch, rest, and caring support.

Community Outreach

At Oak Ridge Baptist Church, we believe ministry extends far beyond the walls of the church. As followers of Christ, we are called in Scripture to love our neighbors, care for those in need, and serve our community with compassion and truth. Through a variety of local outreach efforts and ministry partnerships, our church family seeks to live out that calling by sharing the love of Christ in meaningful and practical ways.
Some of our ministries and outreach opportunities include:
  • Choices Resource Center, Community Crisis Pregnancy Center
  • KARM (Knox Area Rescue Ministries)
  • DCS (Department of Children’s Services)
  • Freedom That Lasts
  • Church in the Park
  • TEAM Ministries
Whether through meeting practical needs, supporting families, encouraging children, or walking alongside those facing difficult circumstances, we are thankful for opportunities to serve others and be a light in our community.
